My trip to Australia was my first one and we wanted to save money and stay in backpacker hostels. It was my husband, my daughter (33) and myself. My husband and I are not kids, we are in our 50′s. LOL Yes we were the oldest ones in both hostels we stayed in but we had a blast meeting kids from all over the world. Some are coming to visit the USA and we hope they will be staying with us.

The owners at Flashpackers Noosa were the most wonderful couple I have ever met. I even met 3 of their 4 children, all of the 3 were boys and the one I didn’t meet was their only girl. The boys were so nice and respectful. After the 1st day we were made to feel like family!

The staff is awesome too and Ian was so much fun when he drove the bus. He had us laughing the whole time we were there. The kids that stayed there were also friendly and some of them came with us on walks and tours we took, and at night we would watch movies or play cards.

Flashpackers Noosa made our trip better than we could have expected. The kitchen was huge and clean, free breadkfast in the mornings of cereal and toas,t coffee and tea. On Mondays there was was a meet and greet with free red and white wine with cheese and crackers. On Wednesdays there is all you can eat pizza night for only 8.00 and on Fridays there is a free sausage bar b que for all the guests.

Our room was spotless and they were adding some beautiful new rooms in a new wing. There is a big TV room for all of the guests to watch TV or in the evenings movies. A library was there in case you just wanted to relax or there was a beautiful swimming pool. You can even use the grill any time you wanted to cook your dinner on. They had huge refrigerators to put your food in and there is a bus/van that takes you to several different places in town. If all this is not enough they also had FREE internet and WiFi and headphones with michrophones if you wanted to Skype with your family and friends.

Across the street is a National Park and you can take some beautiful walks. Don’t forget your camera when you go on them. We saw a lot of whales on our coastal walk and also some Koala in their natural habitat.

I could go on and on about this place but hopefully you will be able to experience it in person. Thank you Warrick and Jo for the time of our lives. We will NEVER forget you. Oh, but don’t believe all the funny stories that Warrick tells you, they may or may not be true. (especially about the snakes) But you better believe you will laugh a lot! He is such a character. lol
